Smart Home Solutions LLC returns as a “Double Sponsor” of the Pete Frates 5K in 2018
On Sunday November 4, 2018 for the fourth year in a row the Pete Frates 5K (Run, Wheel, Walk 3 for #3) will take place in Beverly, MA. Check-in for the 10:00 AM race is at Lynch Park, one of the nicest venues on the North Shore, located at 55 Ober Street. Come visit the sponsor tables and food trucks before or after the event. This is an all-inclusive race – run, walk or wheel – all are welcome. All race proceeds benefit Pete's Park in Beverly, named in honor of Pete Frates.
Jonathan Davis (President of Smart Home Solutions LLC) had this to say: “My family has been actively involved in Pete’s Park since the beginning, so naturally Smart Home Solutions LLC will continue to support those efforts by again participating as a Double Sponsor for the 2018 race. Groups of neighbors working together, like the Friends of Pete, is one of the reasons that Beverly is such an incredible community. Smart Home Solutions LLC is proud to support the vision for Pete’s Park, and the transformation led by Courtney Melei.” Jonathan concluded: “With the work nearly complete at the park we are all looking forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place on Friday November 2, 2018. The long journey that began many years ago is nearing the conclusion at which time the park will truly be open to all.”
About Pete’s Park
In honor of our beloved neighbor Pete Frates, Friends of Pete worked with the Beverly City Council to change the name of our neighborhood playground to Pete’s Park. This was an exciting first step in a larger plan that will be worthy of Pete’s namesake: to transform the park into an all-inclusive, multi-use, integrated play-space that meets the ADA’s (American’s with Disability Act) standards of accessible design. This will be a park that everyone in our community can enjoy, including Pete, who looks forward to watching his daughter Lucy play there along with his nieces and other neighborhood children.
